1. Basics

It is possible to send an advertising message, or a commercial to me, and I can place it on this site absolutely for free. There are two ways of commercials that can be placed on this site

a) A commercial that is an image or an animation. This kind of commercials can be placed on any of pages in my site, under the title of a page. Dimensions of picture or animation frame must not be bigger than 15 centimeters (6 inches) in width and 3 cm (approx. 1.2 inches) in height. Commercial must not be larger more then 40 KB. The image can represent only one link, and up to additional five links may be added as text under the page. Only one commercial of that kind can be in one page.

b) A small, text only commercial. This kind of commercials will be placed on Advertising page. On that page can be placed one picture/animation commercial, according to the rules about placing this kind of commercials. As it sais in the title, this can be only text, without any other data types (pictures, animations, sounds, etc.) Size of that kind of commercial must not be larger than 10 KB (That matches to approx. one and a half pages of text printed on A4 paper.)

 

2. Commercials creation

For image or animation-type commercial (-a- part of previous section), if it is image, it is recommended that it is in JPEG or GIF format. I am willing to accept commercials in other formats too, unless it is not a format supported by the most popular image-editing application, and if such formatted image does not matches conditions described in first section. You can create it by yourself, but I can create it too. For now creating of a image type commercial is absolutely free! Commercial can also be an animation, in animated-GIF format. Other formats are not supported. I will NOT in any case create animated commercials, I can only place a finished animation on the site.

A small text only commercial must be in one of these formats: MS Word, ClarisWorks/AppleWorks, HTML, MacWrite, MS Works, RTF, Text, WordPerfect, WriteNow. All the signs in this kind of commercial will be in the same font. You can use 3 sizes of fonts. You cannot use different colors of fonts - all of them are going to be black (black is the default color in most of web browsers. The difference between bold / italic / underline will be visible. You can include links in that page

3. Legal notices

I am not in any case standing behind the content of commercials or response for quality and legality of advertised matters. The side who sends advertising message must take full responsibility for everything in their commercials and for reactions what their commercials may cause. I will not publish commercials that advertise activities that are illegal or aren't appropriate on publishing as a part of this site (such as pornography, criminal activities etc.)

4. How to advertise

If you are interested for promoting something on this site, please write to me on [email protected], so that you set "Advertising" as title of the message. In that message describe your commercial and if it is a text-type commercial, you can include it in the same message. Include text documents as an attachment in one of formats labeled in section 2. If your text processor does not supports any of that formats, write it in message. You should get answer to your message in about one week. Your commercial should get to the site in 2 weeks. If you want to send image or animation-type commercial, first send a message in which you are describing your commercial, and when you receive answer, if I agree with publishing your commercial, send me the content of commercial as an attachment in the message. Text-type commercials will stay on the site for at least two months, or longer, if there is no big interest for advertising, and animated or image-type commercials will stay for at least 3 days, or longer if there is no big interest for advertising. You can always send request for removing the commercial.
